Pink Palace

We hadn't been to the Pink Palace in a long long time so since it was rainy and cold Saturday morning, we decided to head over to the "Scoop on Poop" exhibit! It was totally gross, but we sure did have fun.

Twilight...I LOVE Edward

Taylor loves Edward! She sent me a text the other day just in case I had forgotten. (She was downstairs... LOL!)You have to admit, he is kind of cute! Her background on her cell is Edward. Jacob, Bella and Edward adorn her bedroom walls and it takes me back to a time when I would have done anything to meet any member of New Kids on the Block! Don't laugh because you LOVED them too! I feel a little silly reading books meant for 12 year old girls, but sometimes it's fun to get caught up in the latest craze. Remember Beanie Babies?? Taylor is reading the third installment of Twilight and I wish she would HURRY UP! I'm ready to see what happens next. Even Grandmommy had been bitten by the Twilight bug. Ha! Ha!
We drove to Germantown Friday night for the Twilight release party and stayed for a little while but we waited until Saturday morning to get our very own copy of the DVD. We piled up in the bed Saturday night and spent a couple of hours totally engrossed in Edward, Bella, and the entire Cullen clan. It was such a nice way to spend a Saturday night. Curled up next to my daughter watching a movie.

Snow Much Fun!

I could not believe the snow we got on Saturday. I can't remember EVER getting this much snow in Covington. Taylor was so excited. When I spoke to her Sunday morning she was almost too wound up to talk. All she could think about was getting back outside to build snowmen and ride 4-wheelers! How fun :-)

Taylor was at her dad's so I went to Memphis with a friend of mine Saturday and ran errands all day not worrying one bit about the weather. (Thank goodness I didn't wear heels) One of my dearest friends was having his 51st birthday party that evening so when it began to snow I thought what the heck, it never sticks! Ha! I was WRONG! Needless to say, I was stuck in Memphis until Sunday afternoon.
Taylor had a great time from the looks of the pictures her daddy took. Hershey, her dog, had a blast too! Only in Tipton County would you see a child riding the hood of a car as a sled while being pulled by a 4-wheeler! I'm glad I wasn't there to see it for myself. I am a scaredy cat when it comes to Taylor. I take overprotective to a whole new level.

About Me

My photo
I am just beginning a new phase of my life so I thought a blog might be fun. We'll see :-) I am a mom to a wonderful daughter, a singer in a band and a lover of all things scrapbooking. Making things to share with friends, to mark a special occasion, or just becasue, is my way of giving a little bit of myself to those I love.
